DIY TIP: HOW TO CLEAN YOUR SOFFIT VENTS

Clogged soffit vents can block necessary air flow in your attic. Soffit vents work in combination with your intake ventilation (I.E., roof vents, ridge ventilation, gable vents or power fans) to keep air moving through your attic- allowing your home to breathe.

This is something you can do without having to hire a contractor. Any easy way to clean your soffit vents is to use a leaf blower! If you can safely access your soffits, simply take your leaf blower, and blow it into your soffit vents in a quick, back-and-forth motion to clear any dirt, debris, or attic insulation that may be sitting on the vents inside your attic reducing air flow.

We recommend doing this annually for efficient soffit ventilation.
